Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet and pearl necklace; all within incuse square. Calciati 3. Ravel, Ambracia - (A1/R3). Extremely rare. Struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise, about very fine.


For this unmarked issue, the earliest coinage of Ambrakia, Ravel knew only of two obverse dies and three reverse dies, this being an unlisted die combination completing the linkage and showing that all coins of this first issue were struck contemporaneously.
